As a culture we share in the pains of those who are victims of circumstances such as war, crisis, and natural disaster.

We have moved severally in the past to assist them. On many occasions, Amb Akoh Foundation took loads of foodstuff, clothing, Toiletries, and money to IDP camps in Abuja, Benue, etc to assist those displaced by violence.

We also work hard to ensure that the challenge leading to their spiteful situation is resolved by networking the appropriate authorities.

Amb Akoh Foundation have embarked on mass rural construction of roads in parts of Benue State.

We saw the plight of the local farmers; whose economic growth were limited due to bad road network. Every year an average farmer in the rural centre loses fortune an average of 6o% of their farm produces due to bad road.

The foundation constructed brides and culverts linking several communities to the urban centres where their farm produces could be displayed for purchase. As at the last check, Amb Akoh Foundation had constructed several Kilometers of roads liking several Districts in Nigeria to the appropriate markets as a way of advancing the economic standard of the rural dwellers.

In order to give phase lift to some communities, the foundation constructed tarred streets totally huge kilometers in stretch in some rural communities,

In Ugboju particularly the road leading to the Palace of the Obande K’Ugboju, HRH Chief Solomon Apochi, who is also the District Head of Ugboju and the Third Class Chief Adoka/Ugboju Intermediate Area Chiefdom was tared by Amb Akoh Foundation.

Amb Akoh Foundation believe that what is good in the city is also good in the villages.

As a result, Dr Dickson Akoh the Founder established the Ambassador Resort and Gardens Ogoli-Ugboju primarily to give people living in the villages opportunity to a recreational centre as are available in the cities.

Ambassador Resort and Gardens is a  place where people interact with nature as they cruise their stress away in the state of the art facilities located in the serene environment.

The Resort is adjudged as one of the best in Northern Nigeria. With its annex having the capacity of about 200 lodging facility and other social supporting facilities in Otukpo under construction, the foundation aim to bring city life to the local communities in Nigeria.

Electricity is a major necessity that boosts economic activities in an area.

Amb Akoh foundation have electrified over 4 communities since inception, and have assisted some communities which had problem with some of their electrical installations by providing e.g. transformer, Electric Poles, Wire to restore their light.

Currently, we have mapped out several communities that will soon benefit electrification projects from the foundation.

Amb Akoh Foundation Builds Classrooms and Multi-Purpose Hall to Strengthen Education in Ugboju

Education remains the bedrock of sustainable development, and the Amb Akoh Foundation has continued to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to supporting academic institutions and improving access to quality learning environments in Ugboju District and its surrounding communities.

In line with this commitment, the Foundation has successfully constructed modern blocks of classrooms equipped with toilet facilities to create a safe, hygienic, and conducive atmosphere for effective teaching and learning.

Improving Learning Conditions and Access to Clean Water

Recognizing the importance of basic amenities in educational development, the Foundation also provided a motorized borehole to ensure a steady supply of clean and potable water. The borehole serves not only the benefiting schools but also residents within the surrounding community, thereby improving public health and overall quality of life.

This intervention has significantly reduced the challenges faced by students and teachers in accessing clean water, allowing them to focus more on academic pursuits in a healthier environment.

Multi-Purpose School Hall for Community and Academic Activities

In addition to classroom blocks and water facilities, the Amb Akoh Foundation constructed a gigantic multi-purpose school hall for Ugboju Community Secondary School and Okpachenyi. The hall is designed to host academic events, examinations, assemblies, cultural activities, and community programs.

The facility stands as a long-term investment in education and community development, providing students with a dignified space for learning beyond the classroom while strengthening the bond between the school and the host community.

Amb Akoh Foundation Builds Modern Pavilion to Promote Culture and Community Development in Ugboju District

Charity, they say, begins at home. Guided by this timeless principle, the Amb Akoh Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots development through the construction of a modern pavilion and public square for Ugboju District in Benue State.

Ugboju District is the hometown of Dr Dickson Akoh, Founder and President of the Amb Akoh Foundation. The project reflects his enduring dedication to giving back to his roots while strengthening social cohesion and cultural preservation within the community.

A Boost to Cultural and Social Activities

Prior to the intervention of the Foundation, major cultural events—most notably the annual Ugboju Ejalekwu Festival—were traditionally held under trees, limiting comfort, organization, and participation. The newly constructed pavilion now provides a dignified, safe, and functional venue for cultural celebrations, town meetings, and other community activities.

The pavilion has already proven to be a major boost to the Ejalekwu Festival, enhancing its visual appeal, organization, and capacity to host dignitaries, guests, and indigenes from across Nigeria and beyond.

The prosperity and sustainable development of any society are best guaranteed in an atmosphere of peace, safety, and tranquility. In line with this philosophy, the Amb Akoh Foundation has continued to prioritize security infrastructure as a key driver of community development and economic growth in Benue State.

Ultra-Modern Police Station Commissioned in Ogoli-Ugboju

As part of its security intervention initiatives, the Foundation constructed an ultra-modern police station in Ogoli-Ugboju, fully equipped with essential security support facilities. These include CCTV surveillance installations and modern operational amenities comparable to those available at Police State Command headquarters across Nigeria.

The facility is designed to enhance crime prevention, improve response time, and strengthen the operational efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force within the community.

Donation of Patrol Vehicle to Nigeria Police Force

To further boost policing operations, the Amb Akoh Foundation donated an operational patrol vehicle (Hilux Van) to the Ogoli-Ugboju Police Station. The vehicle is expected to improve patrol coverage, response to emergencies, and overall security presence in the area.

Ongoing Construction at Ogobia Police Station

Beyond Ogoli-Ugboju, the Foundation is also undertaking ongoing construction work at the Ogobia Police Station. This project forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen the regional security architecture and support law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and order.
