In his message of condolence, Dr Akoh expressed sympathy to the governor, government, and people of Benue over the attack in Omusu community, located in Okpokwu Local Government Area. He thanked Governor Ortom for standing with the people during these difficult times and commended his leadership amidst numerous challenges.

Dr Akoh acknowledged the efforts of Governor Ortom and the State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange, for implementing the Open Grazing Prohibition laws aimed at preventing such attacks in the future.

Governor’s Appreciation

Governor Ortom expressed gratitude to Amb. Akoh for the visit and encouraged him to remain resilient and focused in his mission to empower Nigerian youth through the Peace Corps of Nigeria. He also noted that although the establishment Bill for the Peace Corps was passed by the National Assembly last year, it was rejected by President Muhammadu Buhari in February.
